A Bat With No Echolocation
Fruit bats are strange little flying mammals. They don’t have echolocation and if they do it’s pretty bad. Instead of using their ears, they have great noses to sniff out fruit in the dark. Since their digestive systems are really short, they don’t digest much of the fruit they eat and their poop still smells like fruit. Some people think that this is why fruit bats hang upside down (okay, not really, but it’s a fun thought)! Now, you can take home a piece of the fruit bat with our fruit bat skull necklace. It also makes a great gift for bat experts, fruit lovers, biologists, starry-eyed exotic animal vet students.
